In the fall of 2019, EHS piloted a new Rewards and Recognition Program through the Laboratory Safety Committee. Several staff took part in the review and nomination process and made the pilot a success. EHS recently created a Safety Award page to acknowledge all the past winners in the Individual and Teaching Assistant Award categories; the winner of the Innovation in Safety Award is recognized on the Vice President for Research’s Dare to Discover.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we unfortunately were forced to temporarily suspend in-person laboratory reviews and therefore will not award the Laboratory/Group category this year. In addition, we will be suspending the Teaching Assistant Award until the current situation stabilizes. However, our Individual Award category is ongoing and nominations can be made at any time through the link on the Rewards and Recognition Program page.
