Each fume hood on campus is tested annually to verify that the hood’s airflow is operating within specifications.
Over the next two months, EHS will be testing the hoods in these buildings:
- April: CB and IATL
- May: CB, BVC, and MTP2
EHS maintains a list of all hoods on campus and our technician will be visiting those locations; labs do not need to schedule an appointment with EHS. However, if you notice that your hood has not been tested within the last 12 months, please contact us at fume-hood@uiowa.edu.
