To help the University of Iowa (UI) fulfill requirements set forth by The U.S. National Authority for Containment of Poliovirus, EHS biosafety staff will be sending out a poliovirus containment survey to UI laboratories. The survey questions are intended to identify laboratories that possess materials that may contain poliovirus. The length of survey will vary depending on the work performed in the laboratory for which the survey is completed. For some laboratories, the survey will only consist of a single question, for others it may consist of up to 14 questions.
Links to the survey will be sent to laboratory Principal Investigators (PIs) or Core Facility Directors via email. We ask that each PI/Director complete the survey for their laboratory or designate a knowledgeable laboratory member to complete the survey on their behalf. We are required to receive a response from each laboratory.
