Laboratories that possess exempt quantities of CDC select toxins must comply with the UI Requirements for Possession of Exempt Quantities of CDC Select Toxins. One of the requirements states that the Principal Investigator is responsible for ensuring a written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for toxin-involved research processes is in place. To help labs comply with this requirement, EHS biosafety staff has drafted a template (Word doc) that can be customized to create lab-specific SOP(s).
