It is important to follow these instructions in order to comply with U.S. DOT hazardous material shipping regulations.
Line Biohazardous waste tubs with a red liner. Liners are thin and easily torn or punctured. ALWAYS double or triple-line the tubs.
Whether a sharps container, box, or loose waste, all biohazardous waste must be in a red bag. Do not overfill bags.
All bags must be tied with a single knot, also known as a "gooseneck" knot, so that no waste can fall out of the bag if it is inverted. Bunch up and twist bag at top.
Loop twisted bag under and through to complete knot. Pull tight.
PLACE LID ON BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE TUB BEFORE MOVING.
