2019 Biosafety Month Crossword Puzzle Challenge: Test your biosafety knowledge and enter for a chance to win.
October is National Biosafety and Biosecurity Month. This month, to promote biosafety awareness, EHS is sponsoring a crossword puzzle challenge. EHS biosafety staff have designed a crossword puzzle that will test your knowledge of biosafety programs and practices. Individuals who send a completed crossword puzzle to EHS biosafety staff throughout the month of October will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a prize.

Who can play? The crossword puzzle challenge is open to all University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff*.
How to play? Complete the crossword puzzle and send it to biosafety staff via campus mail (100 EHS) or to ehs-biosafety@uiowa.edu with the subject line “Biosafety Crossword Puzzle”. All submissions received on or before October 31, 2019 will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a prize (see prize details below). Limit of one submission per person. The drawing will take place Friday, November 1, 2019. Winners will be notified by email.
What are the prizes? EHS biosafety staff is dedicated to helping protect UI students, faculty, and staff from biohazards. One of our main goals is to ensure that the microbes you work with in the lab, stay in the lab. The only “biohazards” we want you to take home are the ones we will be providing to the winners. There will be 1 first prize winner and 5 second prize winners
1st Prize: GIANT microbes® Biohazards Gift Pack containing five microbe plush toys.
2nd Prize: A single GIANT microbes® Biohazard plush toy.
* EHS staff are ineligible for prize drawings.
