Procured chemicals need to be included in the chemical inventory for the lab. EHS hosts the Environmental Health & Safety Assistant (EHSA) program for maintaining chemical inventories. Chemical inventories need to be maintained up-to-date. Regulatory reporting requirements for chemicals on campus above certain threshold quantities exist. Therefore, chemical inventories should be reviewed and a “Chemical Review Statement” completed annually to allow timely regulatory reporting by the University as needed.
